Seattle Section Student Paper Constest 2014

The SPC2014 is coming! This is a great opportunity to present your work as a paper and submit to the contest. This is also a great opportunity for the preparation of your career. The paper contest is to recognize technical, written, and verbal communication skills of our student members. These skills are key to successful careers. In this paper contest, we also emphasize the sensibility to new technology.
The Student paper contest is held once a year. The paper contest is to recognize technical, written, and verbal communication skills of our student members. These skills are key to successful careers.
Prize, criteria of selection and paper formats
The IEEE Seattle Section is giving the following award for the contest: US$500 first place, US$300 second place, US$100 third place.

Who can participate
If you are a student member of IEEE, yes, you can participate.
If you are not a student member of IEEE, you can join the IEEE as a student member now.
Click here and choose the student member option to join. Then you can participate not only this paper contest but all the activities that your branch organizes. The membership fee for a full year is $32.
The important dates are:
Abstract deadline: Feb. 28, 2014, send 1 page abstract to our Easychair system submission page. You are welcome to send the full paper directly without an abstract
Full paper deadline: March 14, 2014, use the same submission number and use the command “submit a new version” on the upper right of your Easychair window.
You are welcome to submit a full paper even you did not submit an abstract.
Review and evaluation: March 14 – 28, 2014

Where and how to submit the abstract and paper?
To submit a paper, enter our submission page page in the Easychair system. You need to have an account in the Easychair system. If you do not have one, please sign up for one by clicking the sign up for an account link under the login window. After signing in, you should check your email address that you gave to the system and follow the instructions to finish the account setup.
