Abstract
Despite the ubiquitous deployment of Wi-Fi throughout the world, many engineers have not taken the time to understand the richness and diverse applications of this most popular of wireless technologies. This comprehensive interactive session explains the evolution of Wi-Fi with related technologies of Power over Ethernet, antenna options, cable considerations, and connector choices to fill an engineer’s Wi-Fi toolbox. Direct hands-on experience with domestic and international deployments of point-to-multipoint and point-to-point solutions is presented including design considerations before discussing security and testing methods.
