The Seattle Chapter of the IEEE Ultrasonics, Ferroelectrics, and Frequency Control Society (UFFC-S) aims to provide UFFC-S members with opportunities for professional and personal growth as well as network with the local, vibrant UFFC community. Dr. Tom Matula, PhD will be our guest speaker. Dr. Matula is a Senior Principal Physicist at the University of Washington Applied Physics Laboratory and Director of the Center for Industrial and Medical Ultrasound. He is also a Co-Director of the UW Molecular Imaging and Therapy Center and Co-Founder & CEO of Matchstick Technologies. Much of Dr. Matula's research and development focuses on applications of focused ultrasound. Dr. Matula will present on "A few applications of focused ultrasound from medicine to industry."
