IEEE Tech Talk Space Commercialization and National Security
IEEE Tech Talk Space Commercialization and National Security
The era of space commercialization is well underway. At the same time, the space domain is militarily contested and increasingly critical to national security. U.S. private-sector space companies are getting directly involved in military conflicts for the first time. Meanwhile, U.S. military organizations like the Space Force and the National Reconnaissance Office are engaging the private sector in new ways with the goal of trying to retain a U.S. space advantage in the face of growing threats. The convergence between space commercialization and national security space is sure to have a profound impact on both sectors going forward, and it’s more important to our daily lives than most people realize. IEEE Smart Cities Utrecht Netherlands
Quality-of-life in smart cities: a project perspective Maximizing quality of life is essential to the growth of cities and a factor that projects can influence. In this way, they don’t represent instruments or models, but rather choices that project leaders can make to maximize social innovation and progress. The insights gathered from recently concluded data collection (4000 official smart city projects) clearly show project distribution across various quality-of-life dimensions. Education, housing, culture, transportation, spirituality, and many other themes will be addressed in both qualitative and quantitative terms.
