PWM Amplifiers
PWM Amplifiers
Co-sponsored by: Bryce Hesterman Abstract: In applications, such as flight control actuation, robotics, and motor control, where high power is required and signal fidelity is not a primary concern, switching amplifiers can provide a highly efficient solution. Unlike linear power amplifiers, the amplifier output for a switching amplifier is either near the supply voltage or near zero. Continuously varying filtered output levels can be achieved by simply changing the duty cycle. This results in in efficiency being quite constant as output power varies when compared to a linear circuit. This presentation describes the basic working of a switching or a class D amplifier, and how it can be used to drive various high power reactive loads. IEEE Seattle YP May Event: Boeing Factory Tour
IEEE Seattle YP May Event: Boeing Factory Tour
Co-sponsored by: IEEE Seattle Section & PES IEEE Seattle YP is partnering with the Boeing Co. to participate in a personalized Boeing Everett Factory Tour as a networking opportunity for both college students and Young Professionals. We are asking for $5 registration fee to hold your spot… this money will be used for door prizes. Join us for this awesome event! Participants will witness the old and new office area as they walk across the factory. They will also about the rich aviation history and manufacturing process of Boeing Aircraft. Parking Since this event is held on Saturday, abundant parking will be available near the main entrance of the Boeing Everett building. Clear instructions and contact information will be sent to all registrants. Students and Young Professionals in all engineering disciplines are encouraged to join! Agenda: Arrive at the Boeing Everett Factory at 12:00. Networking with IEEE and local college students The tour lasts approximately 2-3 hours. Location: 3003 W Casino Rd Everett, Washington 98204
