Thanks, Bryce Hesterman - Student Branches reports - Committee Chairs reports - PSEC call for volunteers Conferences: We have approved a Conference Registration Application for 2017 International Symposium on Performance Evaluation of Computer and Telecommunication Systems (SPECTS) occurring within your section. The conference is scheduled to be held in Seattle, US on 2017-07-09 to 2017-07-12 with IEEE Communications Society participating as a sponsor of this event. Sections Congress 2017 – 11-13 August, Sydney, AU – budget for travel expenses gap Region 6 joint Central and Northwest area meetings at the Courtyard Portland Airport. April 29, 2017 1. Seattle PES requests the EXCOM approve a PES conference to be held at the University of Washington in April 2018, called the Northwest Energy System Symposium, NWESS 2018. This is a unique opportunity for new volunteers and aspirant volunteers to learn how to run an IEEE Chapter/Affinity Group meetings. We will cover all the steps and teach all the necessary tools needed to hold a successful meeting. Volunteers and other interested members who are eligible for senior membership elevation are encouraged to take advantage of this event and prepare the paperwork ahead of time. This event is all about education and will be reported as the first IEEE Education Society meeting for 2017. Our instructor will be the long time volunteer and IEEE Fellow Mr. Joesph Decuir. This is an interactive event and you are encouraged to bring a laptop.
