This month we’ll be talking with Tom Tomlinson and George L. Williams of Cummins Power Systems Agenda: We plan for a large overview on the many key questions concerning the installation of generator sets. Types of fuel, Diesel, natural gas, LPG, or bi-fuel Reasons and downfalls as to selecting one fuel over the other. Rough order of magnitude, cost differences between the different engine fuel types Fuel Storage Allowed volumes on a site and locations Type of fuel tanks Cooling Radiator locations Heat sources that need to allowed for Downfalls of remote cooling Location of the generator set On the roof, in the building, or outside on a slab Sound & Nosie concerns Why going circuit breakerless might make sense Code issues and coordination study challenges What is required on the specification and drawings?
