IEEE Tech Talk AI and Microgrids

Virtual: https://events.vtools.ieee.org/m/408144

Join us for a session on AI and Microgrids. Vybe Energy's AI-Driven Whole Building Optimization and Control. The flagship product turns your facility into a “smart” building by synergistically managing all of its energy usage, generation, and storage under a single master controller. The patented AI-driven software uses machine learning algorithms that allow for dynamic predictive modeling of building load, on-site energy production, and battery charge and discharge to maximize demand reduction and utility savings while reducing greenhouse gas emissions. It can also generate additional revenue streams from participation in utility programs and wholesale energy markets, thereby delivering comprehensive load management into the hands of the customer. IEEE UFFC Seattle – Tech Talk – Contrast-enhanced ultrasound and liver cancer

Room: SOCC 301, Bldg: South Campus Center (SOCC), University of Washington, Seattle, Washington, United States, 98195, Virtual: https://events.vtools.ieee.org/m/402324

The Seattle Chapter of the IEEE Ultrasonics, Ferrroelectrics, and Frequency Control Society (UFFC-S) aims to provide UFFC-S members with opportunities for professional and personal growth as well as network with the local, vibrant UFFC community. The speaker for our February Tech Talk will be Dr. Mike Averkiou, PhD from the University of Washington. Dr. Averkiou is a Professor in the Department of Bioengineering at UW Seattle as well as the co-director of the ultrasound-based Washington Molecular Imaging and Therapy Center (uWAMIT). His research interests include diagnostic and therapeutic ultrasound as well as ultrasound-mediated drug delivery. Dr. Averkiou was recently awarded a large NIH R01 grant to treat liver cancer through ultrasound and microbubbles. Dr. Averkiou will present "Quantification of the blood supply of liver tumors with contrast-enhanced ultrasound: Simplifying LIRADS and evaluating systemic therapies." This meeting will be at the University of Washington in Seattle. The meeting will be hybrid. Please register so that organizers can plan accordingly. Online meeting details are included below.
