Journey of Engineers in the Department of Navy

New and mid-level professionals will benefit from this presentation on the journey of engineers from an experienced engineer and recruiter at the Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC), Sally McGehee. Organization and industry leaders are invited to gain Ms McGehee’s insider strategies on how to engage with the Department of Navy (DON) as well. Celebrate International Women in Engineering Day 2026 with San Diego IEEE and Sally McGehee, through her authentic stories and examples on the opportunities within the DON especially for women. This session will engage all the participants through Ms. McGehee’s insider insight as an engineer, as well as her recruiter role with the NIWC Pacific New Professional program, where she interviews EE, CS, ME, CE students and graduates and visits select university career fairs across the country to recruit engineering students.
