June 1, 2018 @ 3:50 pm - 5:30 pm PDT

Co-sponsored by: Alon Newton

Ever wish you could see how innovative hardware is designed? Well IEEE YP has a treat for you! We have teamed up with Microsoft’s Device Labs to offer a once in a lifetime opportunity to tour the Surface laboratory! Building 87 on the Redmond campus is where the Surface devices come to life. On this 90 minute tour, you will get the chance to see state of the art equipment used to design multiple prototypes a day for their Surface Pros, Surface Laptops, and Surface Books. You’ll also get to witness how color, material, and electronics are creatively merged together to create the devices worthy of the Microsoft name. Make sure to bring your curiousity!

Space is limited to 15 participants so make sure to sign up today! Please make sure to respect the tour guides time by arriving outside the building at 3:50 PM

DIRECTIONS AND PARKING INSTRUCTIONS

https://goo.gl/maps/32Jy7GYPEj92 – This will lead to Building 87 where the lab tour is. To get to the entry side, you need to be on the red road shown in the satellite view, not on the outer side of Building 87 (which is the 520 freeway).

Look for the “Visitor Parking” Blue sign and park there (next to 154th Pl NE). There are parking garage structures next to Building 87 as well. ONLY park in the visitor parking slots if any exist. Give yourself an extra half hour to park and check in for “Alon Newton” at the reception desk.
